Which calendars does GetCalendario work with?
Updated 9 October 2026
GetCalendario works with Google calendars and Microsoft calendars, and can read Apple (iCloud) calendars. Apple is read only for now: you can sync events from an Apple calendar onto a Google or Microsoft calendar, but not from Google or Microsoft onto an Apple calendar yet. Writing to Apple is coming. Other calendar types are not supported.
When you add a calendar account, the Add a calendar account box offers Google, Microsoft and Apple, plus a read-only Calendar feed (an .ics link).
What counts as a Google calendar?
Any calendar in a Google account you can sign into: a personal Gmail account or a Google Workspace account (a Workspace administrator can restrict which apps staff may connect; if Google blocks the sign-in, ask your administrator). You sign in with Google and give GetCalendario permission to read and write your calendar. See how to connect a Google calendar.
What counts as a Microsoft calendar?
All of these use the same Microsoft sign-in:
- Microsoft 365 work and school accounts
- Outlook.com accounts
- Exchange Online, the hosted calendar service that comes with Microsoft 365
You do not pick between them. Choose Microsoft, sign in, and whichever kind of account you have will work. GetCalendario needs permission to read and write your calendar. Without it, the account shows a "Missing Permissions" message and asks you to reconnect.
An on-premises mail server is not the same thing as Exchange Online and is not supported. See how to connect a Microsoft calendar and how to sync Exchange Online with Google Calendar.
What about Apple (iCloud) calendars?
Apple calendars can be a source, not a destination, for now:
- Apple to Google or Microsoft works. Events on your iCloud calendar are copied onto the Google or Microsoft calendar you pick.
- Google or Microsoft to Apple does not work yet. An Apple calendar cannot be chosen as the calendar a connection copies onto. Writing to Apple is coming.
- Changes arrive on a schedule, not instantly. Apple does not tell us when a calendar changes, so we check it. Changes are picked up within 5 to 30 minutes, depending on your plan: every 30 minutes on Basic, every 15 on Premium and during the trial, and every 5 on Pro and Teams.
- Paid plans only. The Free plan cannot connect an Apple account.
You connect Apple with your Apple Account email and an app-specific password made at account.apple.com, not your normal Apple password.
What can I connect to what?
Any supported calendar to any other:
- Google to Microsoft, or Microsoft to Google
- Google to another Google calendar
- Microsoft to another Microsoft calendar, including across different Microsoft 365 organizations
- Apple to Google, or Apple to Microsoft (not the other way, yet)
See how to sync two Google calendars and working across several Microsoft 365 tenants.
What if my calendar is something else?
Other calendar types are not supported, and there is no workaround inside GetCalendario. If you cannot pick Google, Microsoft or Apple for an account, it cannot be connected.
If the calendar you need to bring in can also exist in a Google or Microsoft account, you may be able to connect that copy instead. Check that the events really arrive there before you rely on it.
What to know
- A connection copies events one way. For both calendars to show each other's events you need two connections. See one-way or two-way calendar sync.
- How many accounts you can connect depends on your plan. See GetCalendario plans compared.
