How to delete your GetCalendario account and your data

Updated 4 October 2026

You can delete your account yourself. Open Settings, stay on the Your details tab, scroll to the bottom, and press Delete account... in the "Delete your account" box. A box asks "Delete your account?" Press Delete my account to confirm. It permanently deletes your GetCalendario account and what is in it, and it cannot be undone.

If you only want to stop paying, you do not need to delete anything. See how to upgrade, downgrade or cancel.

What gets deleted?

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and sign-in details, your connected calendar accounts and their access, your calendars and event records, your connections and sync rules, your calendar views and shares, your Daily Backups settings and keys that we hold, your passkeys and recovery codes.

Backup copies we hold on our own servers are deleted too. Backups that were delivered to your own storage (an Amazon S3 bucket, Dropbox and so on) are in your account, not ours, so remove those yourself if you no longer want them.

We stop the background watches on your Google and Microsoft calendars and delete the sign-in tokens we held. You can also remove GetCalendario from your Google or Microsoft account's connected apps.

What happens to my subscription?

If you are the last person on the account, the paid subscription is cancelled immediately as part of the deletion, and your billing record at our payment provider is removed. Cancelling this way ends it right away rather than at the end of a billing period, so Deleting ends your subscription immediately, and time you have already paid for is not carried over. If you want to keep using the account until the period ends, cancel now and delete later.

When will it not let me delete my account?

A few situations make deleting your own account unsafe for somebody else, so the page stops you and says why. Nothing is deleted when this happens.

  • People are connected to your account as secondary accounts. Remove each of them on the People page first. We tell them by email. See what a secondary account is.
  • You run a team. Hand the team to someone else or close it on People & Team, then delete your account. If a close is already running, wait for the email saying it has finished.
  • Your account is managed by a company team. The company owns that account, so ask someone who runs the team to release or remove you. See team leaving, removing, releasing.
  • You were released from a team and the copies it made are still being removed. Try again once that finishes, usually within a day, as the page says.
  • Your team has other members. Email support@getcalendario.com and we will hand the team over or close it with you.

If something goes wrong in the middle, nothing is deleted and the page tells you so. You can try again or email support@getcalendario.com and we will do it for you.

What to know

  • When it works, you are signed out and taken to the sign-in page, with the message "Your account and all its data have been deleted."
  • Look at your own Google and Microsoft calendars before you delete, if you care about events that GetCalendario copied into them. This page does not promise what happens to those copies.
