The 14-day trial and the Free plan: what happens after

Updated 7 October 2026

Every new GetCalendario account starts with a 14-day trial. The trial has the Premium limits, and you do not enter a card. When the 14 days are over you do not lose your account: you move to the Free plan, which stays free for as long as you want it.

Free keeps your account open and your syncing running, with smaller limits. If you want the bigger limits back, pick a paid plan and what you had set up starts again.

The 14-day trial: sign up with no card, 14 days with Premium limits, then the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan

What do I get during the trial?

The same limits as the Premium plan: 4 calendar accounts, 12 connections, 30 sync rules, and a sync window of 180 days back and 365 days ahead. Daily Backups and sharing a calendar view are included. A Subscription page notice says the trial is "a full Premium account" and names the date it runs until.

No card is asked for. We email you three days before the trial ends to say what will change.

What happens on day 14?

Your trial ends and the account moves to Free automatically. We send an email, "Your GetCalendario trial has ended", saying what changed. Nothing is charged, because there was no card.

What does Free include?

  • 2 calendar accounts
  • 1 connection
  • 1 sync rule
  • Events synced 7 days back and 30 days ahead
  • No Daily Backups
  • No sharing of calendar views (you can still create views for yourself)
  • No copy actions, working-hours rules or sending events to a different calendar
  • A "[GetCalendario]" prefix on the title of every copy

The full comparison is in GetCalendario plans compared.

What happens to what I set up in the trial?

No sync rule and no connection is deleted, and your own calendars are never touched. Connections beyond what Free allows are paused, not removed.

  • Calendar accounts: accounts connected directly to Google or Microsoft are not disconnected over a plan change.
  • Connections: Free allows one. The others are paused. They keep their rules and settings, and start again when you move to a plan with room. Unless you choose, the first connection you made is the one that keeps running.
  • Sync rules: Free allows one. The others are switched off, keep their wording and their place in the list, and stay off until you switch them back on once the plan allows. Unless you choose, the first rule you made keeps running. A rule only counts if it runs on a connection that is kept.
  • Sync window: it shortens to 7 days back and 30 ahead. Copies GetCalendario placed on the other calendar beyond that window are taken off that calendar. Your own events are not removed.
  • Shared views: people you shared a view with lose access. Access comes back when you have room again.

A switched-off rule shows in the rule history, so you can tell a plan change from a bug. See why a sync rule was switched off after a plan change.

Can I choose what is kept?

Yes, before the trial ends. Open Subscription while you are on the trial. The page shows what you have today next to what the Free plan would keep, and lets you pick "the one connection to keep syncing" and "the one rule to keep running". The rule list only shows rules on the connection you keep, and only rules the Free plan can run. Press the save button on that page to record your choice.

After the trial has ended, the page shows what changed and the same choices remain.

How do I get everything back?

Open Subscription and choose a paid plan. Paused connections and the wider window start again on the next sync, with nothing to set up a second time. Switched-off rules stay off until you switch each one back on from the Sync Rules page; they keep their wording, so there is nothing to write again. The page says this usually happens within a few minutes, but it depends on the sync, so allow a little longer. See how to upgrade, downgrade or cancel.

What to know

  • Your trial is per account. Teams that cover your account with their own plan are described in team policies.
  • Referral free years and the trial are separate. A free year from the referral card waits until you turn it in on the Subscription page, for any plan you pick; checkout then starts it with nothing to pay. See when you get your free year.
